For pilgrims from London and the South East
Umrah Packages from London
Whether you fly from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton, our team in Makkah arranges your hotels, transfers and ziyarat in Saudi Arabia around your flight times. Every package is quoted individually for your dates and group.
Umrah from London, Arranged in Saudi Arabia
Our team is based in Makkah, and we arrange the Saudi side of your Umrah: hotels in Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers, transport between the two holy cities, ziyarat and practical guidance.
Our packages cover your arrangements in Saudi Arabia: hotels, transport, ziyarat and guidance. Most UK pilgrims book their own flights, and we plan everything around their arrival and departure times. If you would like help with flight tickets, ask us on WhatsApp.
We don’t have an office in London. Everything is arranged directly over WhatsApp or by email, which suits busy London households who would rather plan in the evening than travel across the city to an agent.
Landing in Jeddah after the overnight flight from Heathrow? Our Jeddah Airport to Makkah transfer takes you straight to your hotel, and when you are ready for Madinah, our Makkah to Madinah private transport runs hotel to hotel.
Choosing Your London Airport
London has more flight options to Saudi Arabia than anywhere else in the UK. Most pilgrims fly into Jeddah, the closest major airport to Makkah, while some begin their trip in Madinah.
- Heathrow (LHR): currently the only London airport with direct flights to Jeddah, taking around six hours. The direct flight currently leaves from Terminal 4, which has prayer rooms with wudu facilities both before and after security. Heathrow is on the Elizabeth line and the Piccadilly line, which helps if you live in west or central London.
- Gatwick (LGW): usually a connecting journey, but often easier for south London, Surrey and Sussex.
- Stansted (STN) and Luton (LTN): usually connecting journeys, and often closer for north and east London, Essex and Hertfordshire.
- Check before you book: routes, terminals and schedules change, so compare the current options from each airport when you book. The details on this page were checked in November 2026.
- Ihram on the plane: If you are travelling to Jeddah for Umrah, make sure you are in ihram before your flight crosses the miqat. The timing depends on your route, so check with your airline and ask a qualified scholar if you are unsure. Do not assume you can wait until landing in Jeddah. See our guide to Umrah rituals and duas for more on the miqat and ihram. For any other religious question, message us on WhatsApp, even if you are not booking with us. We reply individually, in the light of the Quran and Sunnah, following Hanafi fiqh. For any other religious question, message us on WhatsApp, even if you are not booking with us. Getting to the Airport from Across London
In a city this size, the trip to the airport can take as long as the flight planning. A family in Ilford and a family in Southall may be an hour or more apart before either reaches Heathrow, and early-morning departures can mean leaving before public transport runs. Allow extra time, especially in the school holidays when airports are busiest.
Once you land, our side begins. Send us your flight number and landing time, including late-evening arrivals, and we plan your transfer from the airport to your hotel around it.
Travelling with Parents and Grandparents
Many London families travel across three generations. If an older relative needs a wheelchair or help through the airport, ask your airline for special assistance when you book, ideally at least 48 hours before you fly.
In Saudi Arabia, tell us about any mobility needs when you request a quote. We can suggest hotels closer to the Haram and plan transport with fewer changes, so the journey is easier for everyone.

School Holidays and Bank Holidays
Many London families plan Umrah around Christmas, Easter, the half-terms or a bank holiday weekend added to annual leave. Each London borough sets its own term dates, and academies and independent schools may differ again, so check your own school’s dates. Popular holiday weeks book up early, especially near Ramadan.
As an example, Newham Council’s 2026–27 term dates put February half-term from 15 to 19 February 2027 and the Easter holiday from 26 March to 9 April 2027, but other boroughs and individual schools can set different dates. February half-term falls during Ramadan, which is expected to begin around 8 February, while the Easter holiday begins a little over two weeks after Eid al-Fitr, expected around 9 or 10 March in Saudi Arabia, depending on the moon sighting. See Newham’s 2026–27 term dates.

Groups from London Mosques and Communities
London groups often fly from more than one airport. If your mosque or family group is split between Heathrow and Gatwick, or arrives on different days, we can arrange separate airport transfers and bring everyone together for shared hotels, transport and ziyarat in one quote. See our group Umrah packages.
We also arrange Umrah for pilgrims from other UK cities, including Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, Leicester, Glasgow and Blackburn. For an overview, see our Umrah packages from the UK.
Booking Your Umrah Safely
The UK government warns that organised crime groups target people planning Hajj or Umrah, sometimes with deals that look too good to be true. Before you pay anyone, including us:
- Get it in writing: hotel names, dates and room types, transfers, ziyarat, and anything that is not included.
- Compare like with like: be wary of an offer far cheaper than others for the same dates and hotels.
- Keep a record: pay in a way you can trace, and keep your receipts and messages.
- Check your hotel booking: ask for the confirmation, and contact the hotel if you are unsure it is genuine.
If you think you have been targeted, report it to Report Fraud, which replaced Action Fraud, at reportfraud.police.uk or on 0300 123 2040. See the UK government’s pilgrimage advice for more.
With us, there is no deposit for most services, such as transport and ziyarat: you pay when your service starts or when you arrive in Makkah. Hotel bookings may need an advance payment, and we tell you before you confirm. See our Terms and Conditions.
Visa Information
Before you book, check which visa route applies to you. Requirements depend on your nationality and where you live, and they can change, so always confirm the latest information through official Saudi sources before you travel. For more detail on the official routes, see our Umrah visa guide.
Some London families include parents or grandparents travelling on a Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian or other non-British passport. They may need a different visa route from British passport holders, so check each traveller’s passport before you book flights. Every pilgrim also needs a certificate of meningitis ACWY vaccination, given at least 10 days before arrival, so book it early with your GP practice, a pharmacy or a travel clinic.

Umrah from London FAQs
Common questions from pilgrims travelling from London.
Do you have an office in London?
No. Our team is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. We arrange everything with you directly by WhatsApp or email.
Do your Umrah packages include flights from London?
Our packages cover your arrangements in Saudi Arabia: hotels, transport, ziyarat and guidance. Most UK pilgrims book their own flights, and we plan everything around their arrival and departure times. If you would like help with flight tickets, ask us on WhatsApp.
Which London airport should I fly from for Umrah?
Heathrow is currently the only London airport with direct flights to Jeddah, so it is usually the simplest choice. Gatwick, Stansted or Luton may suit you better depending on where you live and the fares at the time. Whichever you choose, we arrange your transfers once you land in Saudi Arabia.
Where can I change into ihram at Heathrow?
Heathrow has multi-faith prayer rooms in every terminal. Terminal 4, which the direct Jeddah flight currently uses, has rooms before and after security, both with wudu facilities. Many pilgrims change at home or at the airport so they are in ihram well before the flight reaches the miqat.
Our group is flying from different London airports. Can you still arrange one package?
Yes. Send us each flight’s details and we will plan separate airport transfers, then shared hotels, transport and ziyarat for the whole group.
We land in Jeddah late in the evening. Will someone meet us?
Share your flight number and landing time when you confirm. We plan your transfer around that time. If your flight is delayed, let us know on WhatsApp as early as you can and we will adjust your transfer to the new time.
Do I have to pay before I travel?
For most services, such as transport and ziyarat, there is no deposit. You pay in cash when your service starts or when you arrive in Makkah, and bank transfer is also possible if you prefer. Hotel bookings may need an advance payment, and we tell you before you confirm. See our Terms and Conditions.
How will I receive my quote?
We normally send quotes via WhatsApp, or by email at makahmadina591@gmail.com if needed.
