Your Umrah trip may include time in more than one city, whether that is a few days in Jeddah, a visit to Taif or onward travel elsewhere in Saudi Arabia. Makkahmadina arranges private transport for these journeys through transport providers, with each journey planned around your travel dates, group size and luggage.
City journeys can be booked on their own or combined with your other transport, such as airport transfers and travel between Makkah and Madinah, as a single arrangement. We will confirm what can be arranged for your dates when we prepare your quote.
The following city routes can be arranged for Umrah travellers:
If you need a return journey or would like to travel in the opposite direction, please mention this when you enquire and we will confirm what can be arranged.
For travel between Jeddah Airport and your hotel in Makkah, see our Jeddah Airport transfers. For the journey between the two holy cities, see our Makkah to Madinah transport.
Vehicles are arranged through transport providers according to the number of travellers and the amount of luggage. Depending on availability, options include a small car or Sedan for smaller parties, a Hyundai Staria, Hyundai Starex or SUV/GMC for families who would like more space, and a Hiace van, Coaster or large passenger bus with up to 49 seats for larger groups. A VIP GMC can also be requested, subject to availability. See example photos in our vehicle options section.
If you are organising transport for a larger family or group, our private and group transport page explains how group journeys can be arranged.
A journey to Jeddah or Taif can be combined with visits to historic and religious sites in those cities. In Jeddah, this can include places such as Al-Balad and the Al-Rahmah (Floating) Mosque, and in Taif, sites such as Masjid Addas, subject to availability.
See our Ziyarat tours page for more details, and mention the places you would like to visit when you enquire, so they can be planned around your city journey.
Arabic, English and Urdu-speaking drivers may be available, subject to availability. Please mention your preferred language when you enquire, so it can be considered when your transport is arranged.
On longer journeys between cities, short rest or refreshment stops can be requested when you book. You can also ask for child seats, space for extra luggage, or a vehicle with a driver for a set number of hours or a full day. All of these requests are subject to advance booking and provider availability, and we will confirm what can be arranged in your quote.
STEP 1
Send us your travel dates, number of travellers, the route you need and where you would like to be picked up, such as your hotel. Include any requests, such as a preferred vehicle type, driver language or a rest stop on the way, so your quote reflects your plans as closely as possible.
STEP 2
We will review your journey, check availability with transport providers and send you a quote, normally via WhatsApp, or by email if needed.
STEP 3
Requesting or receiving a quote carries no obligation. Nothing is booked until you accept the quote and we have agreed the final details of your transport with you.
We do not publish fixed prices, as each journey is quoted individually. The cost can vary with the vehicle you need, the number of travellers, your luggage and your itinerary. Share your journey details and we will confirm a quote for your requested trip.

We recommend getting in touch as early as possible, especially if you are travelling as a group. This gives more time to arrange a suitable vehicle for your journey.
