For pilgrims from Bradford and West Yorkshire
Umrah Packages from Bradford
From Bradford, most pilgrims either connect from Leeds Bradford Airport or travel across the Pennines for a direct flight from Manchester. Whichever you choose, our team in Makkah arranges your hotels, transfers and ziyarat around your arrival.
Umrah from Bradford, Arranged in Saudi Arabia
Our team is based in Makkah, and we arrange the Saudi side of your Umrah: hotels in Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers, transport between the two holy cities, ziyarat and practical guidance.
Our packages cover your arrangements in Saudi Arabia: hotels, transport, ziyarat and guidance. Most UK pilgrims book their own flights, and we plan everything around their arrival and departure times. If you would like help with flight tickets, ask us on WhatsApp.
We don’t have an office in Bradford. Families from Manningham, Girlington, Heaton, Little Horton, Keighley and across West Yorkshire plan with us directly over WhatsApp or by email.
Many West Yorkshire groups travel together from the same mosque or neighbourhood. Our Makkah to Madinah transport covers groups in a Hiace, Coaster or coach, and our Jeddah Airport transfer page explains how pickup works when you land.
Leeds Bradford or Manchester?
Most pilgrims fly into Jeddah, the closest major airport to Makkah, while some begin their trip in Madinah.
- Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA): the nearest airport, about 30 to 35 minutes from Bradford Interchange on the A2 Flyer bus. It has no direct flights to Saudi Arabia, so you will change planes on the way. It sits high above Yeadon, and winter fog can sometimes delay flights.
- Manchester Airport (MAN): around an hour and a half by road, or by train with at least one change, with direct flights to Jeddah. For terminal, drop-off and prayer room details, see our Umrah packages from Manchester page.
- Check before you book: routes, bus and train times change, so check the current options when you book. The details on this page were checked in November 2026.
- Ihram on the plane: If you are travelling to Jeddah for Umrah, make sure you are in ihram before your flight crosses the miqat. The timing depends on your route, so check with your airline and ask a qualified scholar if you are unsure. Do not assume you can wait until landing in Jeddah. See our guide to Umrah rituals and duas for more on the miqat and ihram. For any other religious question, message us on WhatsApp, even if you are not booking with us. We reply individually, in the light of the Quran and Sunnah, following Hanafi fiqh.
Choosing for Your Family
The choice usually comes down to who is travelling. Leeds Bradford is close to home, which helps with an early start and a lot of luggage. Manchester means a longer trip to the airport, but one flight and no connection, which many families prefer with elderly parents or young children.
If you connect, your landing time in Saudi Arabia may change. Send us your final itinerary and we plan your airport transfer around it. If a flight is delayed, message us on WhatsApp as soon as you know and we will rearrange your pickup.
Connecting from Leeds Bradford
Every Saudi journey from Leeds Bradford involves a change of plane, so the connection is worth planning as carefully as the hotels.
- One booking: book both flights on one ticket where you can. If a delay makes you miss the second flight, the airline normally rebooks you. Separate tickets usually carry no such protection.
- Enough time to change: elderly relatives and children need time for security, toilets and finding the next gate. A very short connection is risky, and a very long one leaves everyone tired before Umrah.
- Your bags: ask whether your suitcases are checked through to Saudi Arabia or whether you need to collect and re-check them on the way.
- Ihram: many pilgrims put on their ihram clothing at home or during the connection, so they are ready well before the second flight reaches the miqat. Leeds Bradford Airport has a multi-faith room in the landside area, before security.

Bradford and Kirklees School Dates
Bradford Council publishes term dates for many local schools, but academies set their own. If relatives in Dewsbury or Batley are joining you, their schools follow Kirklees dates, which can differ. Check every school before choosing dates. Christmas, Easter and the half-terms book up early, especially near Ramadan.
Bradford Council’s 2026–27 calendar has February half-term from 15 to 19 February 2027 and an Easter break from 26 March to 9 April 2027. The calendar also marks Wednesday 10 March 2027 as the likely date for Eid al-Fitr, and says the council normally expects schools with a significant number of pupils celebrating Eid to consider this when setting their dates. February half-term falls during Ramadan, which is expected to begin around 8 February, while the Easter break begins a little over two weeks after Eid. See Bradford Council’s 2026–27 calendar.

Extended Families and Mosque Groups
Umrah from Bradford often involves several households travelling together, sometimes from different airports. We arrange a separate transfer for each arrival, then shared hotels, transport and ziyarat in one quote, with rooms planned for families who want to stay close together. See our group Umrah packages.
If elderly parents are coming, tell us who needs to stay close to the Haram and we take that into account when suggesting hotels. Before you confirm, check the walking route from the hotel to the Haram, not just the distance. See our guide to Umrah for elderly pilgrims.
We also arrange Umrah for pilgrims from other UK cities, including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Leicester, Glasgow and Blackburn. For an overview, see our Umrah packages from the UK.
Visa Information
Before you book, check which visa route applies to you. Requirements depend on your nationality and where you live, and they can change, so always confirm the latest information through official Saudi sources before you travel. For more detail on the official routes, see our Umrah visa guide.
Relatives travelling on a Pakistani or another non-British passport may need a different visa route from British passport holders, so check each traveller’s passport before you book flights. Saudi Arabia also requires Umrah pilgrims to have a meningococcal ACWY (meningitis) vaccination at least 10 days before arrival, so book it early with your GP practice, a pharmacy or a travel clinic. See the UK government’s pilgrimage advice.

Umrah from Bradford FAQs
Common questions from pilgrims travelling from Bradford.
Do you have an office in Bradford?
No. Our team is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. We arrange everything with you directly by WhatsApp or email.
Do your Umrah packages include flights from Bradford?
Our packages cover your arrangements in Saudi Arabia: hotels, transport, ziyarat and guidance. Most UK pilgrims book their own flights, and we plan everything around their arrival and departure times. If you would like help with flight tickets, ask us on WhatsApp.
Should I fly from Leeds Bradford or Manchester?
Leeds Bradford is closer but means a connection. Manchester is further away but has direct flights to Jeddah. Compare the total journey time and fares for your dates. We arrange your transfers once you land either way.
Do you arrange transport from Bradford to the airport?
No. Our services start in Saudi Arabia. You make your own way to your UK airport, and we take over from the moment you land.
Some of our family hold Pakistani passports. Can you help with their visas?
Yes. Whatever passport your relatives hold, including Pakistani passports, we can help with their Umrah visas and apply for them on their behalf. The route can differ from a British passport, so when you enquire, tell us each traveller’s nationality and where they live. Visa decisions are made by the Saudi authorities.
Can several families book together and stay near each other?
Yes. Tell us how many households and travellers there are, and we will suggest hotels and room options for the whole group.
Can I bring Zamzam water home on a connecting flight to Leeds Bradford?
Usually yes, in an approved sealed container of up to 5 litres per passenger, handed in when you check in for your flight home. For a journey with a connection, the airline staff at check-in will tell you how to hand it in and collect it.
How will I receive my quote?
We normally send quotes via WhatsApp, or by email at makahmadina591@gmail.com if needed.
